Dr. Kenn Walters is VP and Executive Advisor at ISG.
Dr. Walters is engaged in new and converging technologies, whereas he focuses on Business strategies and tactics, Business improvement initiatives, Technology in Telecommunication, Mobile Communication, IP, Convergence and disruptive technologies and New business entrants.
Dr. Walters has previously worked in a variety of roles, including as EMEA Consulting Manager and Senior Vice President and member of the management group at META Group, (responsible for all consulting activities in all practices in EMEA and research practice and publications in Telecoms), Founder and Interim CxO of Viag Interkom, (now O2 Germany), VP and Board advisor to ITT Corporation America, VP Telecoms Practice CAP Gemini Consulting, and Interim VP and Board advisor to IBM Corp. He has also worked as an internal (often as interim Director) and external Business Consultant, often at board or senior management level, to a large number of Corporations in a variety of industries, International IT and Telecoms vendors, (all the Worlds top 20 in this field) and many of the World leading Telco operators. He has also won licenses and started businesses/operations as CxO of several National/International Telco operators himself.
Dr. Walters has a comprehensive understanding about the newest technologies and implementation thereof on a business and technical level, as well as how to migrate traditional businesses to the new business models and to sell into these effectively without disrupting existing sale channels and revenues, while taking care of existing clients or legacy systems in order to maximize investments while minimizing negative impacts.
Dr. Walters holds a B.Sc an M.Sc and a Ph.D. in Computers and information systems (Major Telecommunication) and has completed postgraduate studies in Management, H.R. and Corporate finance in (amongst others), St. Gallen, Switzerland.
